Dental Experts in Hutto is a privately family owned dental practice with unique goals and vision. We make sure to hire candidates that like to work with us and not only whom we like to work with. As our name implies, We are seeking an EXPERT hygienist, expert in their clinical skills, chairside manners, communication, and most importantly in the choices to make finding the right job to be long term to flourish and further advance their career, and looking for their dental home. You will have full control of your schedule. You can schedule your patients in your treatment room for the time you think you can manage and the treatment and period that is best for your patients. Our goal is not how much production you are going to make, but how many happy patients you are going to have. Dental Experts in Hutto is looking for a Dental Hygienist to help treat patients and promote good oral health practices. Our ideal candidate not only should they know how to clean and scale, but they would be building a great relationship with their patients and provide them with the best service screening their mouths, cleaning teeth (e.g. removing plaque) and advising them on oral health and preventative care. You'll help Dr. Sinan decide treatments for teeth or gum diseases and handle dental emergencies. As a Dental Hygienist, you should be reliable and able to build trust with patients of all ages. You should have deep knowledge of relevant health and safety rules and a good eye for oral diseases and anomalies. If you have a steady hand and great bedside manner, we'd like to meet you. Responsibilities Promotes dental health by completing dental prophylaxis, providing oral cancer screening and radiographic studies, charting conditions of decay and disease, and performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act. Prepares treatment room for patient by adhering to prescribed procedures and protocols. Prepares patient for dental hygiene treatment by welcoming, soothing, seating, and draping patient. Provides information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests. Maintains instrumentation for dental hygiene treatment by sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting instruments. Selects materials and equipment for dental hygiene visit by evaluating patient's oral health. Completes dental prophylaxis by cleaning deposits and stains from teeth and from beneath gum margins. Detects disease by completing oral cancer screening; feeling and visually examining gums, using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession and exposing and developing radiographic studies. Arrests dental decay by applying fluorides and other cavity- preventing agents. Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drugs and oxygen supply, and directory of emergency numbers. Educates patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions and providing reminders of time of next dental hygiene visit. Documents dental hygiene services by recording vital signs and medical and dental histories and charting in patient records. Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. Maintains dental supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, and verifying receipt of supplies. Conserves dental resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Skills Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA) Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment Outstanding communication skills A patient and friendly personality Attention to detail Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job Diploma in Dental Hygiene; Master's is a plus Valid RDH license to practice
