Office Manager Position Summary We are seeking a independent character, detail-oriented, and patient-focused Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our growing dental team in Lubbock, Texas. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality preventive and periodontal care while educating patients on maintaining optimal oral health. The RDH will work closely with dentists, assistants, and administrative staff to deliver an exceptional patient experience. The candidate must hold an active license issued by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners and perform duties in accordance with Texas regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental hygiene assessments and periodontal evaluations. Obtain and review medical and dental histories. Take diagnostic dental radiographs (X-rays). Perform prophylaxis (adult and pediatric cleanings). Perform scaling and root planing (SRP) as prescribed. Remove plaque, calculus, and stains from teeth. Apply fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive therapies. Conduct oral cancer screenings. Educate patients on oral hygiene, periodontal disease prevention, and home care techniques. Assist in identifying treatment needs and communicating findings to the dentist. Accurately document clinical findings, treatment rendered, and patient recommendations in the electronic health record. Maintain infection control and sterilization protocols in compliance with OSHA, CDC, and state guidelines. Support practice production and patient retention goals through exceptional patient care. Dental hygienists commonly perform preventive services, patient education, charting, radiographs, and periodontal assessments. (Texas Career Check) Qualifications Active Texas Registered Dental Hygienist license. Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program. Current CPR/BLS certification. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with digital radiography and dental software systems. Ability to educate and motivate patients regarding oral health. Commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence. Preferred Qualifications Local anesthesia certification. Experience with Dentrix Ascend or Dentrix software. Minimum 1 year of clinical hygiene experience (preferred but not required). Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and work in a clinical setting for extended periods. Manual dexterity sufficient to perform dental hygiene procedures. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds when necessary. Compensation & Benefits $50 hourly compensation.
