Join our dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist, where your expertise in patient care will help promote optimal oral health. In this role you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining dental health, as well as teach patients how their oral health affects overall health. Our single-provider dental practice delivers individualized care with a warm, friendly, hometown atmosphere. We like to allow each patient a full hour for their hygiene appointments when possible. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow professionally within a collaborative and patient-focused environment. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings using hand instruments and cavitron, polishing, SCRP and perio charting Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical history, and dental charts to inform treatment plans (our office uses Open Dental for charting) Taking some digital radiographs (Dexis) Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using Open Dental, documenting all procedures thoroughly Follow infection prevention management protocols, including aseptic technique and sterilization of dental equipment Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality at all times Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to medical records review, documentation review, and medical coding as needed Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Open Dental is highly preferred (Dentrix is very similar) Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health care Experience with dental x-ray procedures, X-ray safety protocols, and medical imaging technology Ability to maintain excellent patient care standards Demonstrated commitment to infection control practices and healthcare infection prevention protocols Excellent communication skills for client education and team collaboration in a healthcare setting Join us in delivering exceptional dental care through passion, precision, and professionalism!
Pay:
$37.00 - $45.00 per hour
