Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dedicated dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting with various clinical procedures. This role offers an opportunity to work in a modern dental environment, utilizing advanced EMR systems and adhering to strict infection control protocols. Experience with pediatric dentistry, four-handed dentistry, and a comprehensive understanding of dental terminology and medical records is highly valued. The Dental Hygienist will play a vital role in promoting oral health and ensuring patient comfort during visits. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent oral disease Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration prior to procedures Assist with patient assessment, including medical history review and documentation review Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care Utilize dental imaging equipment for diagnostic purposes while maintaining aseptic techniques Operate EMR systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for accurate documentation of patient records Collaborate with dentists during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency Maintain infection control standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations and OSHA guidelines Support pediatric patients by applying specialized pediatric dentistry techniques when necessary Assist with chairside procedures, including medical imaging and dental terminology explanations Ensure compliance with all safety protocols related to anatomy knowledge, medical coding, and documentation review Requirements Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification Proven experience in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or dental clinic environments Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with medical coding preferred Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and aseptic technique Ability to perform patient care tasks effectively while demonstrating excellent communication skills Experience with medical imaging, vital signs monitoring, and documentation review processes Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Prior experience in dental assisting or working within a dental office setting is advantageous Join our team to make a positive impact on patients' oral health through compassionate care and professional expertise.
Pay:
$36.00 - $48.00 per hour
