Job Title:
Dental Hygienist Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our clinical team. In this role, you will deliver exceptional patient care by performing comprehensive oral health assessments, supporting the dentist during examinations and procedures, and promoting preventive dental practices. The ideal candidate demonstrates outstanding attention to detail, strong clinical judgment, and excellent communication skills, along with a steadfast commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, infection control, and patient-centered care. Responsibilities Gather and review patient health histories, including dental and medical backgrounds Prepare patients for dental examinations and procedures Provide patient care, comfort, and support throughout visits Perform dental cleanings, including plaque and tartar removal Examine gums for signs of disease or infection Assess oral health and identify conditions such as gingivitis and other dental issues Polish, floss, and apply preventive treatments as needed Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices Prepare patients and equipment for X-rays and assist with radiographic procedures Maintain accurate patient records and document examination findings Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment in compliance with safety standards Qualifications and Requirements Proficiency with Dentrix and Dexis software Valid X-ray certification in accordance with local and state regulations Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and best practices Understanding of aseptic and sterilization techniques Compliance with all office policies, as well as local, state, and American Dental Association regulations Skills and Competencies Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build patient rapport Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, focused environment Solid understanding of standard dental practices and proceduresJob Types:
