Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a West Virginia licensed Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care! In this energetic and rewarding position, you will utilize your expertise to promote oral health, provide preventive treatments, and support overall patient well-being. Your skills in dental hygiene, patient assessment, and infection control will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and confident in their smile. We are committed to fostering a positive workplace that values your professional growth and dedication. This position is for a part time position, 3 days a week. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing. Comprehensive periodontal charting. Detailed periodontal treatment such as root planing and curettage. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and oral examinations. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies tailored to their needs. Assist with chairside procedures such as dental imaging, medical imaging, and applying topical agents. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office protocols. Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed through aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures. Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to deliver efficient, high-quality general dentistry services. Requirements Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations. Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for documentation review and medical coding Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical terminology. Ability to perform four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency during procedures. Excellent and compassionate patient care skills.
