In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating high-quality dental prostheses, ensuring precision and aesthetic excellence. Your expertise will support the clinical team by transforming digital designs and impressions into durable, functional dental appliances. This position is in an oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic on an as needed basis. The clinic is in need of a lab technician to assist in digital full arch surgery workflow. Traditional dental lab work is not done at this clinic, only full arch 3D printed temporary prostheses. Responsibilities Utilize virtual workflow for 3D printed same day full arch deliveries. Finish dental prostheses with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring proper fit, function, and aesthetics through polishing and staining. Collaborate closely with dental clinicians to interpret digital scans, impressions, and treatment plans for accurate prosthetic fabrication. Maintain strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during all laboratory procedures to ensure patient safety. Operate advanced dental equipment such as micrometers, 3D printers and other laboratory tools efficiently and safely. Document all laboratory processes accurately within electronic medical records (EMR systems), adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality. Skills Extensive knowledge of dental anatomy, occlusion principles, and prosthodontic procedures including removable prosthodontics and implantology. Familiarity with dental equipment maintenance and calibration to ensure optimal performance. Experience working with EMR systems for documentation of laboratory procedures and patient records while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Knowledge of infection control standards specific to dental laboratories; adept at aseptic techniques during fabrication processes. Ability to assess patient needs through collaboration with the clinical team; understanding of vital signs and basic medical documentation is a plus. Competence in 3D printing of prosthetic components; experience with complete implant denture fabrication is advantageous. Excellent attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
