DENTAL LABORATORY MODEL DEPARTMENT TECHNICIAN

We are looking for a determined, high energy, well organized individual for the position of Model Technician in our Removable Department to join our ADL location in Louisville, KY. •Qualified candidates with 5+ years of relevant experience are eligible for a sign on bonus of $1000, after 120 days of continuous employment.• Our Company has the following to offer: Excellent compensation plan with benefits including medical, dental, life insurance, short/long term disability, 401(k), vacation and holidays Monday - Thursday 6:30am-5:00pm (3 day weekends!) Responsibilities:

Read and follow prescriptions to mix and form plaster, plastic or rubber models and molds from dental impressions, and wax models of dentures and appliances Melt and remove wax from cast models, cleaning to remove dirt and debris Operate and maintain a variety of dental laboratory tools and equipment such as: trimmers, lathes, saw, articulators to verify bite and occlusion, mixers and cleaning devices Perform Quality Control to ensure accuracy, fit and finish Provide training to other techs as needed to meet desired standards Maintain dental tools and equipment with cleanliness and care compliant with safety and infection control protocols All other duties as assigned or as otherwise required

Qualifications:

Previous experience in relevant field or dental environment preferred Knowledge of dental materials, terminology, and techniques in model preparation and denture fabrication preferred High level of attention to detail with exceptional quality standards Excellent hand/eye coordination Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management and read prescriptions in English Team player is a must with a willingness to learn new responsibilities Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to stand for extended hours and lift weight up to 40lbs.
