Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterile Technician to join our dental office team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in sterile processing and infection prevention, ensuring that all dental instruments and medical equipment are properly sterilized, assembled, and maintained to uphold the highest standards of patient safety and care. Duties Perform sterilization procedures for dental instruments, surgical tools, and medical equipment in accordance with established protocols and infection control standards. Assemble, package, and label sterile instruments and supplies for use in various dental procedures. Manage inventory levels of sterilized supplies and medical equipment, ensuring timely replenishment and proper storage. Conduct decontamination processes, including cleaning and disinfecting reusable instruments and equipment following strict aseptic techniques. Reprocess endoscopes and other specialized medical devices with precision to meet regulatory requirements. Maintain detailed documentation of sterilization cycles, quality control checks, and equipment maintenance activities. Adhere to healthcare infection prevention protocols, including proper handling of contaminated materials and disposal procedures. Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless workflow and readiness of sterile supplies for daily patient care activities. Skills Expertise in sterile processing medical instrument assembly, packaging, and sterilization techniques. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to dental procedures. Proficiency in medical equipment operation and sterilization machinery. Familiarity with infection prevention management practices within healthcare settings. Ability to implement aseptic techniques consistently during instrument reprocessing and handling. Experience with endoscope reprocessing and surgical instrument sterilization procedures. Excellent organizational skills for inventory management and documentation accuracy. Knowledge of healthcare infection control standards and compliance requirements.
