Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Sterilization Technician, where you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and sterile environment for our patients and staff. In this energetic position, you will ensure all dental instruments and equipment are properly sterilized, organized, and ready for use, supporting the delivery of high-quality dental care. Your attention to detail and commitment to infection control will help uphold our clinic's standards of excellence and patient safety. Responsibilities Prepare, clean, sterilize, and organize dental instruments using advanced sterilization equipment in accordance with infection control protocols. Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, instrument inventory, and medical documentation. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and medical records during all processes. Support the dental team by managing sterilization supplies and ensuring all equipment meets aseptic technique standards. Conduct routine inspections of sterilization areas to uphold infection control practices and maintain a safe clinical environment. Collaborate with dental reception staff to coordinate patient flow, including vital signs monitoring and medical imaging when necessary. Assist in keeping the dental office clean and professional looking. Skills Proficiency with open dental for managing medical documentation and records. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques. Familiarity with X-ray procedures, 3D scanner technology, and medical imaging techniques relevant to dental care. Ability to understand and apply HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy at all times. Excellent organizational skills for managing sterilization supplies and maintaining detailed records of sterilization cycles.
