In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all instruments and equipment are properly sterilized, decontaminated, and prepared for use in patient care. Your expertise will help uphold the highest standards of infection prevention and control, creating a safe environment for both patients and providers. Responsibilities Perform decontamination of used instruments and equipment using approved sterilization techniques and equipment. Operate sterilizers, autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, instrument washers and other sterilization devices safely and efficiently. Manage inventory of sterilized supplies, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and tracking of all items. Conduct routine quality checks and documentation to verify sterilization effectiveness and compliance with infection prevention standards. Maintain detailed records of sterilization cycles, equipment maintenance, and inventory levels in accordance with office protocols. Collaborate with staff to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments for procedures while adhering to infection control guidelines. Experience Prior experience or knowledge in sterile processing or equipment sterilization within a healthcare setting is highly preferred. Familiarity with infection prevention management practices and healthcare infection control standards. Proficiency in medical terminology related to instruments, procedures, and sterilization processes. Experience operating equipment used in sterilization such as autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, or sterilizer monitors. Ability to demonstrate excellent attention to detail, organization skills, and adherence to safety protocols. We will train candidate on use of equipment, sterilization standards, record keeping, etc. New dental assistants are encouraged to apply. Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
