Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our dental team. The Sterilization Technician will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in dental assisting, knowledge of infection control protocols, and a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
  • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following established infection control protocols
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits by setting up instruments, materials, and equipment
  • Assist dental providers with chairside procedures as needed
  • Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order new supplies as needed
  • Perform routine maintenance on dental equipment to ensure proper functioning
  • Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Follow safety protocols to minimize risks in the dental office
  • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth workflow and efficient patient care
  • Provide support in patient assessment, including taking vital signs if required
Experience:
  • Previous experience as a Sterilization Technician or Dental Assistant is preferred
  • Familiarity with infection control protocols in a dental setting
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
