Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant/Sterilization Technician. 3-4 days per week no eves or weekends. Assist doctor and turn over operatories in quality oriented , private practice. X ray license and experience in dental assisting a plus. text (440)213-0172 Dr Sfeir Duties Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments using aseptic techniques, adhering to infection control guidelines. Assist the dentist during various procedures, including chairside support in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging, ensuring accurate positioning and patient safety. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring HIPAA compliance for confidentiality. Provide excellent customer service as a dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and updating medical documentation. Monitor vital signs of patients when necessary and assist with pediatric dentistry procedures with patience and care. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment while following infection control standards and OSHA regulations. Skills Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience with chairside assisting in general dentistry along with specialized fields like prosthodontics and endodontics. Skilled in taking X-rays, utilizing 3D scanners, and performing medical imaging procedures safely. Knowledge of infection control practices including aseptic technique and sterilization protocols for dental instruments. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment practicing four-handed dentistry techniques. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, medical coding, and electronic health record (EHR) management for accurate documentation. Experience working with pediatric patients in a pediatric dentistry setting is highly desirable.
