Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Orthodontic Records & Lab Technician to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing orthodontic patient records, preparing and processing dental and orthodontic appliances, and supporting clinical staff with lab procedures. Your expertise will ensure accurate documentation, efficient workflow, and high-quality patient care within a fast-paced orthodontic environment. Responsibilities Accurately update and maintain electronic medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Prepare, fabricate, and process orthodontic appliances, retainers, and other dental lab devices using advanced equipment including scanners and dental sterilization procedures Assist with dental instrument processing, sterilization, and infection prevention management to uphold the highest standards of aseptic technique Manage medical documentation related to orthodontic treatments, including X-ray imaging, dental x-ray procedures, and medical coding for accurate recordkeeping Ensure proper handling of medical imaging and dental equipment while adhering to infection control protocols in accordance with healthcare infection prevention standards Skills Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures specific to orthodontics and general dentistry Familiarity with dental sterilization procedures, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques in a clinical setting Excellent patient management skills with a focus on patient care in dentistry settings when applicable Knowledge of medical documentation standards including HIPAA compliance and medical coding practices Join us in delivering exceptional orthodontic care by combining technical expertise with compassionate patient support.
