The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting dental practices by fabricating dental appliances, assisting with patient assessments, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment. Duties Fabricate dental prosthetics, including crowns, bridges, dentures, and orthodontic devices using CAD systems. Assist in patient assessments by gathering relevant medical records and providing necessary information to the dental team. Maintain accurate documentation of all procedures performed while adhering to HIPAA guidelines. Utilize dental terminology effectively in communication with both patients and healthcare professionals. Collaborate with dentists and other dental staff to ensure high-quality patient care. Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and techniques, particularly in pediatrics if applicable. Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and sanitized according to industry standards. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Technician or in a similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures. Familiarity with CAD systems for the fabrication of dental appliances. Understanding of HIPAA regulations concerning patient confidentiality and medical records management. Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus but not required. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team. Certification or relevant training in dental assisting is advantageous.
