Airway Intelligence Center Technician Job Description Job Summary:
The Airway Intelligence Technician is a key contributor to the fabrication of high-quality oral appliances, leveraging extensive dental laboratory experience—particularly in orthodontic appliance creation. This position calls for an experienced technician capable of independently managing casework with minimal supervision, ensuring precision and consistency in appliance fabrication to meet the standards of VIP Doctors and patients. A strong background in orthodontic lab work is highly preferred.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Independently fabricates a wide range of orthodontic and dental appliances with consistency and precision Reviews and interprets complex RXs to determine design and construction requirements Ensures quality standards are met by performing thorough self-checks and collaborating on quality assurance with other team members Completes documentation and logs for each case with accuracy and timeliness Maintains efficient daily production while balancing quality and deadlines Handles various dental materials such as wire, acrylic, plaster, and wax confidently Operates a range of lab equipment, including lathes, handpieces, pliers, and polishing tools Supports and mentors' junior technicians as needed to promote team development and maintain workflow Participates in ongoing lab process improvement Performs additional duties as assigned

Advanced proficiency with orthodontic appliances, techniques, and materials Strong understanding of dental lab workflows and case management Self-motivated and capable of independently producing high volumes of precise work Collaborative team player willing to share expertise and support team goals High adaptability and comfort managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment Eye for detail and craftsmanship essential to high-quality fabrication Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in interpreting case requirements Commitment to continuous improvement and staying current with lab innovations
Education, Qualifications, and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in a dental lab, with a focus on orthodontics preferred Experience in the dental clinic industry a plus Demonstrated experience in producing custom orthodontic appliances (e.g., retainers, expanders, night guards) Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced lab environment Manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and a strong visual sense for detail Good manual dexterity with an affinity for fine detail and repetitive movement Ability to lift and handle materials up to 50 pounds and safely work with standard dental lab chemicals Safely work with chemical compounds (adhesives, acrylics, plasters, elastics-latex) Able to read and follow oral and written instructions (in English)
