Responsibilities Perform general dentistry procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, and extractions with precision and care. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, to develop personalized treatment plans. Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses and treatment options effectively to patients. Execute advanced procedures such as root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery while maintaining aseptic technique. Manage medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and accuracy. Apply infection control protocols diligently to maintain a sterile environment during all clinical procedures. Use dental imaging technology effectively for diagnosis and treatment planning, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Collaborate with team members using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Stay updated on the latest developments in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and medical terminology to provide the highest quality care. Experience Proven experience working in a dental office or clinic setting with a strong foundation in general dentistry practices. Familiarity with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and treatment planning. Hands-on experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery procedures. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and the ability to treat pediatric patients compassionately. Understanding of infection control standards and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice environments. Ability to interpret medical imaging accurately and apply anatomy knowledge effectively during procedures.
