In this role, you will focus on diagnosing and treating complex root canal cases and other endodontic procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through expert care. Your expertise will contribute to the overall health and confidence of our patients, providing specialized services within a comprehensive dental practice. Responsibilities Perform root canal therapy, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and execution for both simple and complex cases. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history review, clinical examinations, and appropriate medical imaging. Utilize aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment during procedures. Collaborate with general dentists, oral surgeons, prosthodontists, and pediatric dentists to develop comprehensive treatment plans. Maintain accurate medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on their diagnosis, treatment options, post-operative care, and oral health maintenance strategies. Stay current with advancements in endodontics, dental technology, and best practices to continually enhance patient care quality. Requirements Valid dental license with specialization in Endodontics or eligibility for licensure in the practicing state. Proven experience performing root canal therapy and other endodontic procedures in a clinical setting. Proficiency with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for charting and record-keeping. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control standards. Ability to perform general dentistry procedures as needed; experience with dental extractions is a plus. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry principles and working with pediatric patients is advantageous. Excellent patient care skills with a focus on comfort, education, and building trust. Knowledge of medical imaging techniques relevant to endodontic diagnosis and treatment planning. Commitment to adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
