$105,477 / year Job Summary We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and dedicated General Dentist to join our clinical team in Citrus Heights, CA. In this role, you will examine, diagnose, and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of the teeth, gums, and oral cavity. You will provide comprehensive oral healthcare ranging from routine preventive treatments to complex restorative, endodontic, periodontal, and implant surgeries. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with our clinical and administrative staff to deliver exceptional patient care while maintaining high standards of regulatory compliance and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities DiagnosticPreventive Care Conduct thorough oral examinations and utilize diagnostic techniques, digital radiography, and intraoral imaging to evaluate dental health. Diagnose and treat diseases and conditions of the teeth, gums, and oral mucosa. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, preventive care, and personalized treatment plans. RestorativeCosmetic Dentistry Provide general restorative care, including cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, and extractions. Perform complex restorative procedures and full-mouth rehabilitation based on comprehensive clinical evaluations. Advanced SurgicalPeriodontal Procedures Plan, place, and restore dental implants, including complex overdenture reconstructions. Construct radiographic and surgical guides for precise implant placement. Perform advanced periodontal procedures, including hard and soft tissue grafting. Execute forced eruptions or rapid extrusions to preserve bone structure for future implant placement. Perform routine endodontic procedures, including root canal therapy. Patient ComfortAdministration Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide sedation safely to ensure patient comfort and minimize anxiety. Utilize electronic dental record (EDR) systems for precise treatment planning, charting, and documentation. Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date patient records. Refer patients to dental specialists when appropriate.
QualificationsRequirements Education:
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited U.S. dental school.
Licensure:
Must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice dentistry in the State of California.
Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience in general dentistry.
Certifications:
Valid authorization to administer nitrous oxide and local anesthesia; current CPR/BLS certification.
Legal Authorization:
Must have legal authorization to work in the United States. SkillsCompetencies Proficiency with modern dental instruments, digital X-rays, and electronic charting systems. Strong surgical acumen, specifically regarding implantology, tissue grafting, and endodontics. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with patients. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
