Job Description

We are an oral surgery practice in the Bay Area trusted by dentists and loved by patients. We are looking for an energetic, reliable, and responsible Oral Surgery assistant to join our Fremont Oral Surgery Family. A great candidate should be a proactive team player with outstanding communication skills and excellent chairside manners. Our core mission is to provide the best patient experience possible and build trusting relationships. In aligning with the core mission, the oral surgery assistant's primary function is to support our oral surgeons throughout patients' entire clinical journey. Primary Role and Responsibilities The responsibilities include preparing surgical equipment, taking X-Rays, and tending to patients. An outstanding oral surgery assistant should have an excellent understanding of oral surgery procedures, exceptional hand-eye coordination, and proficient familiarity with surgical instruments. Clinical Function Setting up instrument trays for local anesthetic and IV sedation procedures Recovering patients after procedures Discharging and instructing patients/family members for postoperative care Taking X-Rays, Panoramic Images, and CBCT Scans Preparing, Cleaning and Turning over treatment rooms Providing patients with information on oral health care, treatment plans, and postoperative outcomes Experience with dental implant systems, bone grafts, and sinus lift procedures Completing general housekeeping tasks as assigned Clinical Administrative Function Checking medical history, taking vitals, reviewing current medications Verifying consent forms are accurate, completed, and up-to-date Keeping track of inventory and ordering supplies Skills and Experience we look for in great candidates! Ability to communicate with others in a professional manner Careful attention to detail Motivating team player Proficient in computer applications with the ability to learn new software Preferred 2 years of dental experience. Skills that make you stand out! OMSA Certified Clinical experience in a dental practice with knowledge of dental insurance & dental procedures Experience with cloud-based software applications Familiarity with different practice management software Excellent spreadsheet skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to multitask Job Type Full Time Starting at $28/
