Responsibilities Diagnose and treat a wide range of dental issues, including cavities, gum disease, and oral infections, using current clinical techniques. Perform dental procedures such as restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgeries with precision and care. Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, taking dental impressions, and utilizing medical imaging tools to inform treatment plans. Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office protocols. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options to promote long-term dental health. Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists in four-handed dentistry to ensure efficient workflow and optimal patient outcomes. Adhere strictly to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety at all times. Utilize dental software such as Open Dental, record keeping, and billing processes effectively. Requirements Valid state license to practice dentistry with current credentials in good standing. Proven experience in general dentistry with proficiency in dental and medical terminology relevant to dental practice. Demonstrated ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other restorative procedures. Familiarity with dental imaging techniques and anatomy knowledge essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Strong understanding of infection control practices, HIPAA compliance, and medical documentation standards. Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred; pediatric dentistry skills are a plus. Proficiency with dental office management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly desirable.
