In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages, ensuring optimal oral health and patient satisfaction. Your expertise in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and specialized procedures will help transform smiles and improve lives. The Associate Dentist will be responsible for delivering high-quality treatments while adhering to all safety and infection control protocols, utilizing advanced dental technology, and maintaining accurate medical documentation. Responsibilities Perform a wide range of dental procedures including dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery with precision and care. Assess patient needs through thorough patient assessments and develop personalized treatment plans aligned with best practices. Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses and treatment options clearly to patients. Operate dental equipment such as digital X-ray machines and medical imaging tools while maintaining strict infection control standards using aseptic techniques. Document all patient interactions meticulously in medical records following HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and compliance. Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and office staff to deliver seamless four-handed dentistry for efficient patient flow. Stay current with advancements in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery to provide innovative care solutions. Maintain knowledge of dental office software systems like Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, billing, and record management. Ensure adherence to all health and safety protocols including infection control procedures and medical documentation standards. Qualifications Valid state license to practice dentistry with current DEA registration if applicable. Proven experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment with a focus on general dentistry; experience in pediatric dentistry is highly preferred. Proficiency with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for managing patient records and appointments. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical imaging techniques. Skilled in performing dental extractions, root canal therapy (endodontics), prosthodontics procedures, and oral surgery techniques. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately while explaining treatment options clearly. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations regarding medical records confidentiality and security standards. Ability to work effectively within a team environment practicing four-handed dentistry for optimal efficiency.
