Responsibilities Perform a wide range of oral surgical procedures, including dental extractions, implant placements, and soft tissue surgeries with precision and care Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans, ensuring optimal outcomes Utilize advanced dental imaging techniques and medical documentation tools to support accurate diagnoses and treatment documentation Maintain strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and comply with HIPAA regulations Collaborate with general dentists, pediatric dentists, prosthodontists, and other specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care Educate patients on pre- and post-operative care instructions, emphasizing oral health maintenance and recovery processes Manage medical records efficiently using dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix Qualifications Valid state license to practice as an Oral Surgeon with board certification or eligibility in oral surgery Proven experience in dental office environments with a focus on oral surgery procedures Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy knowledge relevant to oral surgery Strong skills in general dentistry procedures, including root canal therapy and dental fabrication when necessary Familiarity with pediatric dentistry principles for treating pediatric patients effectively Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and medical imaging technologies Ability to perform complex dental extractions and manage emergency situations confidently Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations including pediatrics Join our team where your expertise will make a real difference!
