Pediatric RDA

Duties Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures, including chairside support and patient management Take digital X-rays ensuring adherence to infection control and aseptic techniques Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining a sterile environment Educate children and parents on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and dental procedures to promote understanding and cooperation Manage medical documentation, including medical records, proper coding, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Operate Dentrix for accurate patient data entry and appointment scheduling Support infection control protocols and maintain knowledge of anatomy relevant to pediatric dentistry Skills Proven experience with dental assisting in a pediatric setting, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques Proficiency with Dentrix for managing medical records and documentation Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy related to pediatric patients Ability to operate dental imaging equipment safely and effectively Familiarity with infection control standards, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures within a dental clinic environment Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and team members as a dental receptionist or assistant Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times Join us in creating healthier smiles!
