The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in general dentistry, with expertise in patient assessment, treatment planning, and delivering high-quality dental services. This role offers an opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, utilizing advanced dental technology and adhering to the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a commitment to patient care, and proficiency in various dental procedures. Duties Perform thorough patient assessments, including oral examinations and medical history reviews, to develop individualized treatment plans. Deliver a wide range of dental services such as preventive care, restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics. Utilize dental terminology accurately while explaining diagnoses and treatment options clearly to patients. Operate and interpret medical imaging equipment to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning. Maintain detailed medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality. Implement aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to uphold safety standards within the clinic environment. Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize patient care efficiency. Manage dental fabrication procedures, including crowns, bridges, and dentures, ensuring precise craftsmanship. Stay current with advancements in dental technology and procedures by participating in ongoing professional development. Adhere to all regulatory guidelines related to medical records management and clinical operations. Experience Proven experience working in a dental clinic or similar healthcare setting with a focus on general dentistry procedures. Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly desirable. Demonstrated expertise in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialty areas is preferred. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental practice. Experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, and other complex procedures while maintaining aseptic technique. Familiarity with infection control standards and medical imaging techniques essential for accurate diagnosis. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations including pediatrics; experience in pediatric dentistry is advantageous. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation best practices ensures compliance at all times.
