PM No On-Call & No Weekend Responsibilities Setting:
FQHC/Outpatient Dental Clinic Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and patient-focused General Dentist to join a community-based dental practice in San Jose, CA. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive dental care to a diverse patient population while working in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality clinical care, patient education, and continuity of treatment while contributing to a positive patient experience and supporting overall clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive general dentistry services above the standard of care. Perform routine, preventive, restorative, and emergency dental procedures. Diagnose oral health conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans. Refer patients to specialists when clinically indicated. Educate patients on oral health, hygiene, and preventive care practices. Maintain complete, accurate, and timely clinical documentation. Ensure continuity of care through proper follow-up and treatment planning. Adhere to infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Required:
DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental program. Active California Dental License in good standing & Active DEA registration. Minimum 3 years of General Dentistry experience. Knowledge of infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, dental law, and ethics.
Preferred:
Bilingual in English and Spanish. Experience working with diverse and underserved patient populations. Experience in community health or nonprofit healthcare settings.
Patient Population:
Adults, Older Adults, Teenagers Caseload:
Approximately 8 patients per day
