In this role, you will deliver comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages, ensuring optimal oral health and enhancing smiles with confidence. Duties Perform thorough patient assessments, including dental examinations, medical history reviews, and oral health evaluations using advanced medical imaging techniques. Deliver a wide range of general dentistry services such as dental cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, and prosthodontics procedures. Conduct complex dental procedures including dental extractions, root canal therapy (endodontics), and oral surgery with precision and aseptic technique. Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses and treatment plans effectively to patients and team members. Manage patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in medical documentation. Implement infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment and prevent cross-contamination during all procedures. Collaborate with specialists in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other fields as needed to provide comprehensive patient care. Use dental software systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, charting, billing, and medical records management. Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care strategies, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term wellness. Maintain current knowledge of advances in general dentistry techniques and materials through ongoing professional development. Experience Proven experience working as a General Dentist in a busy dental clinic or office environment is required. Strong proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical imaging is essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Demonstrated expertise in performing dental extractions, root canal therapy (endodontics), prosthodontics procedures, and oral surgery. Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly preferred. Knowledge of infection control standards aligned with OSHA guidelines to ensure patient safety at all times. Experience providing pediatric dentistry services is a plus but not mandatory; however, comfort working with pediatric patients is highly valued. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds while demonstrating professionalism and compassion.
