As an Associate Dentist, you will be instrumental in providing high-quality general dentistry services, including restorative procedures, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry. Duties Perform a wide range of dental procedures including dental examinations, restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, oral examinations, and diagnostic imaging using advanced tools such as digital X-rays and medical imaging equipment. Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with patient needs and preferences, ensuring clear communication of procedures and expected outcomes. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws, documenting all treatments, diagnoses, and patient interactions. Apply infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment during all procedures. Collaborate with dental assistants to execute four-handed dentistry techniques that enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Stay current with industry standards by utilizing dental software systems like Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for scheduling, billing, charting, and record management. Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care strategies, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term dental wellness. Adhere strictly to healthcare diagnosis standards and dental terminology to ensure precise communication within the team. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to expand expertise in areas such as endodontics, oral surgery, prosthodontics, and anesthesiology. Experience Proven experience working in a busy dental clinic or healthcare setting with familiarity in general dentistry procedures. Demonstrated proficiency with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix. Prior experience performing pediatric dentistry procedures is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge related to the oral cavity, infection control practices, and medical documentation standards. Experience executing complex dental procedures including dental extractions, root canal therapy (endodontics), prosthodontic restorations, and oral surgeries. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
