Job Description

Job Summary Join a dynamic Oral Surgeon practice as a Front Desk Specialist, where your energy and enthusiasm will set the tone for exceptional patient experiences. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring smooth clinic operations through efficient administrative support. Your expertise in medical and dental office procedures, combined with your friendly demeanor, will help foster a welcoming environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering outstanding oral healthcare. Duties Greet patients warmly, providing excellent customer service and guiding them through check-in and appointment processes Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks Schedule appointments accurately Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, handle appointment rescheduling, and respond to patient inquiries promptly Collect and process payments Maintain organized medical records, file documents securely, and ensure compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, and managing clinic correspondence Qualifications Prior experience in a medical or dental office setting with strong knowledge of clinic procedures and office management Experience in EMR/EHR systems Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and health information management software Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and medical records management Exceptional patient service skills with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations Previous clinic or hospital experience is preferred; dental clinic experience is a plus Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment This role is essential in supporting the clinical team by providing top-tier administrative support that enhances patient care delivery.
