  • 4•10 hour work days General Description The Dentist provides comprehensive primary and preventive dental care to children and families in a community health center setting.
This role focuses on delivering high-quality pediatric and general dental services, including examinations, diagnosis, treatment, counseling, and age-appropriate patient education. The Dentist plays a vital role in improving oral health outcomes for pediatric patients while supporting Premier Community HealthCare Group's mission to provide accessible, compassionate, and patient-centered care to diverse communities. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Provide dental care to children, adolescents, and family medicine patients in accordance with best practices Perform comprehensive oral examinations, including diagnosis and interpretation of radiographs Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with a child-friendly, trauma-informed approach Deliver clinical dental services including restorative care, extractions, sealants, fluoride treatments, nitrous oxide administration, and preventive care Educate children and caregivers on oral hygiene, preventive care, nutrition, and treatment options Create a positive, supportive experience for pediatric patients and their families Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Follow all dental clinic policies, infection control standards, and regulatory guidelines Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and care team members to support efficient patient flow Support community outreach, school-based programs, and pediatric oral health initiatives Maintain confidentiality and ensure HIPAA compliance Uphold Premier's core values and commitment to quality, compassionate care Participate in Quality Improvement / Quality Assurance (QI/QA) activities Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from an accredited dental program Active Florida dental license Experience providing dental care to pediatric patients strongly preferred Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification DEA license preferred or ability to obtain Ability to obtain and maintain Epic certification and annual compliance requirements Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Ability to lift 20 lbs. regularly and 30-50 lbs. occasionally Ability to sit for extended periods Direct exposure to computer screens and clinical environments Possible exposure to contagious or infectious diseases
