Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive dental care with a focus on patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment utilizing advanced dental technology and practices. The Associate Dentist will be responsible for diagnosing, treatment planning, and performing a wide range of dental procedures, ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards including HIPAA and infection control protocols. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, oral examinations, and diagnostic imaging. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings. Perform general dentistry procedures such as fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics. Administer local anesthesia and utilize aseptic techniques during procedures. Utilize dental terminology accurately for documentation and communication within the team. Maintain detailed medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral health practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions. Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to deliver high-quality patient care using four-handed dentistry techniques. Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed to maintain a sterile environment. Keep up-to-date with advancements in general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and related fields through continuous education. Skills 2-3+ years of experience working in a general practice is recommended for success. Proficiency in our dental software Dentrix Ascend, is ideal. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical imaging techniques. Experience in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, root canal therapy, dental extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and dental fabrication is preferred. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs accurately and develop effective treatment plans. Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure safety for patients and staff. Ability to work efficiently within a team using four-handed dentistry practices for optimal workflow. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations concerning medical records and patient confidentiality. Prior experience working in a dental office or clinic setting is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential. $200,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year
