Hawaii Island Community Health Center Oral Surgeon (Full Time AND Part Time position available) Locations-Hilo & Kona locations have availability Pay Rate
- 255,000
- 345,000 (Compensation will be determined based on qualifications and experience) About the
Role:
Under the guidance of the Dental Director, the Oral Surgeon at Hawai'i Island Community Health Center (HICHC) provides professional dental care through diagnosing and treating patients during scheduled and unscheduled visits. The role also includes educating non-dental clinical staff, engaging in public service, and performing administrative duties to support HICHC's mission and goals.Minimum Qualifications:
Required- Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree Required
- Minimum of three (3) years of recent experience in the past five (5) years Preferred
- Experience working with community programs Must have a desire to work with infants, children, adolescents, adults, and their families
Responsibilities:
Provides immediate evaluation and management of emergency problems to HICHC dental patients as they occur in addition to regularly scheduled appointments. Performs dental procedures compatible with the facility's operating capability, equipment and privileges granted. Performs preoperative and postoperative careSkills:
The ideal candidate possesses strong knowledge in diagnosing and treating oral diseases, general and preventive dentistry, and implant dentistry. They are skilled in administering various types of sedation and performing oral surgeries for both adults and children.
