This exciting role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive dental care tailored specifically for children, utilizing your expertise in pediatric dentistry and general dentistry procedures. Our office is patient focused and services a high needs dental population. Feel good knowing that you are truly making a difference in the oral health of your patients. Our office is privately owned and operated. Time will be split working between our established office in Berea and new office in Lexington! Duties Be a positive personality! Be friendly to the patients and families, make them feel welcomed. Listen to the needs and concerns of the patients and parents. We feel that creating a positive environment is what has helped our office grow. Perform thorough dental examinations and assessments on pediatric patients, utilizing medical and dental terminology to accurately diagnose oral health issues. Deliver a wide range of treatments including resin restorations, stainless steel crowns, extractions, pulpotomies, root canal therapy, for children and teens. We do our best to address dental pain as quickly as we can. Work in and treat dental emergencies as quickly as we are able. Maintain detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Apply four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures. Educate young patients and their guardians on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, diet and treatment options to promote lifelong oral health habits. Maintain a clean, organized dental environment adhering to infection control standards and ensuring safety for both patients and staff. Experience Proven experience working as a pediatric or general dentist within a pediatric or family dental practice setting. Strong knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles, including behavior management techniques suitable for children. Hands-on experience performing restorative dentistry, stainless steel crowns, extractions, and other restorative procedures specific to pediatric patients. Knowledge of medical terminology related to oral health and anatomy to accurately document patient records and treatment plans. Demonstrated ability to follow infection control protocols rigorously while maintaining aseptic technique during all procedures. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate young patients and collaborate with team members in delivering comprehensive care.
