We're looking for a compassionate, skilled, and mission-driven dentist to join our team and help us deliver exceptional oral health services to our diverse patient population. Job Purpose As a Dentist at SMCHC, you'll provide primary dental care—and in select cases, secondary care—in a community health center setting. Your role will include preventive services, patient education, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to improve oral health outcomes across our region. Minimum Qualifications Graduate of an accredited dental school Licensed to practice dentistry in the State of Missouri Current BLS certification DEA and Missouri BNDD registrations Proficient in EMR, electronic mail, word processing, and office management software Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and community partners Deep understanding of modern dentistry in public health settings Awareness of socioeconomic and legislative factors affecting public health Collaborative spirit with a commitment to professional development and team growth Knowledge of public health principles and practices Key Responsibilities Delivery of Dental Care Diagnose and treat dental/oral conditions Maintain accurate and complete patient records Educate patients on oral health and disease prevention Management of Dental Staff Support continuing education and training for SMCHC staff Administrative Duties Participate in clinic committees and strategic planning Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and protocols Represent SMCHC at meetings and events Contribute to recruitment and retention efforts Community Outreach Provide technical assistance and health education Attend community meetings and represent the dental clinic Reliability Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality Uphold company policies and foster positive workplace relationships Complete tasks efficiently and professionally Full Job Description upon request.
