General Dentist

Duties Perform thorough patient examinations, including medical and dental history reviews, oral assessments, and diagnostic imaging using medical imaging technology. Deliver a wide range of dental treatments such as dental restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and endodontics with precision and care. Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate treatment plans effectively with patients and team members. Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment. Maintain detailed medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and legal standards. Use Dentrix dental office management software for scheduling, charting, billing, and patient data management. Collaborate with the dental team on four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to pediatric dentistry when applicable. Stay updated on the latest advancements in general dentistry, including anatomy knowledge and new treatment modalities. Experience Proven experience working in a busy dental clinic or dental office environment with a strong understanding of general dentistry procedures. Hands-on experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery procedures. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly preferred. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and practices is a plus but not mandatory. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively using dental terminology with patients and team members. Commitment to infection control standards and HIPAA compliance in all aspects of patient care. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry and oral health conditions. Experience applying aseptic techniques during clinical procedures to prevent infection risks.
