Utilize Your Existing Practice. Create an Additional Revenue Stream. We are seeking licensed Dentists (DMD or DDS) who own or operate a dental practice and are interested in providing disability evaluations for our nation's Veterans. This is an excellent opportunity to generate additional income while maintaining complete control of your schedule. Evaluations are performed in your existing office with no treatment, no prescribing, no follow-up care, and no insurance billing. Typical examinations include:
Oral and Dental Conditions Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Evaluations Medical Opinions when requested Exams generally require: 20-minute Oral and Dental evaluations 30-minute TMJ evaluations (less common) Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive dental disability evaluations Review Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) Document objective findings accurately and thoroughly Submit completed reports in a timely manner Maintain professional and compassionate interactions with Veterans Important Notes This position does NOT include: Dental treatment Procedures Prescriptions Follow-up care Establishing a doctor-patient relationship Insurance billing Requirements Active DMD or DDS license Ownership of or access to a dental office within 50 miles of the service location Dental chair and standard dental examination equipment available Personal laptop computer Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to work independently Basic computer proficiency Schedule Set your own availability.
