About Bluebird Counseling Bluebird Counseling is a trauma-informed small group practice in Saint Paul, Minnesota. We are a group of "therapy nerds" who enjoy exploring theory, refining our craft, and having meaningful clinical conversations. We value clinicians who are creative, curious, and actively engaged in learning. We are intentionally building a small, cohesive team (ultimately 6-8 clinicians). We support clinicians in practicing authentically, reflectively, and with integrity. This role is best suited for clinicians who are self-directed, motivated, and take ownership of their work. What You'll Do Provide individual, relationship, and/or family therapy Complete Diagnostic Assessments and individualized Treatment Plans Maintain timely documentation within 24 hours of service Participate in supervision, consultation, and ongoing training Develop referral sources to augment clinic referrals Build and maintain a consistent caseload averaging 24 billable client hours per week Who You Are Licensed in Minnesota (LPCC, LMFT, LICSW, or LP) or actively working toward licensure Master's degree in a related field Some prior clinical experience required, including the ability to independently create Diagnostic Assessments, Treatment Plans, and Progress Notes following clinic guidelines Strong clinical judgment and documentation skills Client-centered and relational in your approach Creative, curious, and engaged in ongoing learning Able to work independently and take initiative Motivated to build and sustain a full caseload Committed to inclusive, affirming care for LGBTQIA+, gender-diverse, and BIPOC individuals. Required:
24 average billable client hours per week What We Provide W2 employment Billing, EHR (TherapyNotes), HIPAA-compliant messaging (Spruce) Furnished office space 1-3 days/week if desired Professional Fund of up to 2K per year for continuing education, coursework, and/or outside supervision Board approved clinical supervision for LPCC licensure In-network with major payers (Medical Assistance, BCBS, HealthPartners, UCare, UnitedHealthcare, Hennepin Health, Aetna, etc.) Pay based on a percent of collections Quarterly bonus potential for clinicians meeting job requirements $700 sign-on bonus: $200 after 2 months of employment; $500 after contracted hours (24 average billable hours/week) are met for one full quarter Up to 55 hours PTO annually (W2 employees) Bluebird pays 50% of BCBS Gold HSA premium + dental & vision (FT W2 employees) Up to 4% retirement match after one year (FT W2 employees) Note about Wages Clinicians are paid a contracted percentage of collections. The amount earned per hour depends on the CPT codes used and the client's insurance plan. For example, Medicaid has lower reimbursement rates than private insurance plans.
