Description Dentist (FT/PT) East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking a full-time or part-time Dentist to join our Dental Center Team in our Newport, RI location. East Bay Dental Clinic provides comprehensive dental care to individuals of all ages. Our dentists and hygienists use state-of-the-art equipment to ensure our patients maintain optimal oral health. Key Responsibilities Office-Based Comprehensive Dental Care Provide comprehensive routine and emergency dental care to patients of all ages Treatment modalities include plaque control/cleanings, pit and fissure sealants, topical fluoride, patient education, oral cancer screening, active intervention in disease process, temporary sedative fillings, permanent fillings, surgical extractions, referrals to oral surgeons, and dentures Educate patients regarding care, diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and prognosis School/Community-Based Care Provide comprehensive routine dental care and dental education in community and/or school-based settings utilizing fully mobile equipment Professional Development and Quality Improvement Participate in training and quality improvement activities (such as peer review activities) to enhance personal and organizational performance and outcomes Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor Qualifications Current license to practice dentistry in the State of Rhode Island Experience providing comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages Experience working with diverse patient populations Comprehensive knowledge and experience with electronic medical/dental record systems Benefits EBCAP provides a comprehensive compensation and benefits package for full-time employees (30-40 hours/week) including: Heavily subsidized medical and dental insurance plans (BCBSRI) Supplemental vision insurance Voluntary medical and dependent care flexible spending accounts 403(b) retirement plan with up to 3% company match Employer-paid life insurance and long-term disability Generous paid time off (vacation, holidays, personal days, sick time) Mileage reimbursement Tuition reimbursement Opportunities for center-paid training and CEUs Employee assistance program We welcome candidates from all backgrounds who are passionate about making a difference in our community.
