Through guided clinical mentorship, associates will have the opportunity to develop skills in endodontics, surgical extractions, and dental implant treatment planning and placement. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, to develop effective treatment plans. Perform general dentistry procedures such as dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, and prosthodontics. Carry out complex dental treatments including root canal therapy, dental extractions, and oral surgery procedures with precision and aseptic technique. Utilize dental imaging tools and medical imaging techniques to diagnose conditions accurately. Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office standards. Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants in four-handed dentistry practices to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care. Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care strategies, and post-treatment instructions using clear dental terminology. Adhere to infection control protocols and sterilization procedures to ensure a safe clinical environment. Stay updated with advancements in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialties relevant to patient care. Requirements Valid state license to practice dentistry as a General Dentist. Proven experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment; familiarity with dental office management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical records management. Proficiency in performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery procedures. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds; compassionate approach to pediatric dentistry is a plus. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality. Experience with medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry; understanding of anatomy is essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
