Lead General Dentist

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead General Dentist to oversee and deliver comprehensive dental care within our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in general dentistry, with expertise in advanced procedures such as dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery. As the Lead Dentist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional patient care, maintaining clinical excellence, and guiding the dental team to uphold the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Duties Provide comprehensive dental examinations, diagnosis, and treatment planning for patients across diverse age groups, including pediatric and adult populations. Perform a wide range of dental procedures such as restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques. Lead clinical operations by supervising dental staff, including hygienists and assistants, ensuring effective four-handed dentistry practices. Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care strategies, and treatment options using clear medical and dental terminology. Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to prevent cross-contamination and promote patient safety. Collaborate with the team to develop treatment plans that incorporate dental fabrication techniques and utilize medical imaging for accurate diagnosis. Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure all procedures are recorded in compliance with healthcare regulations. Stay current with advancements in general dentistry, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, and related fields to provide innovative care solutions. Foster a positive team environment by mentoring junior staff members and promoting continuous professional development. Experience Proven experience working as a General Dentist (minimum 3-5 years experience) with demonstrated proficiency in performing complex procedures such as dental extractions, prosthodontics, and oral surgery. Extensive knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, medical terminology, and medical records management. Prior experience utilizing dental practice management software including Open Dental is highly desirable. Experience working within a busy dental clinic or office environment that emphasizes high-quality patient care and efficient workflow management. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide clinical teams effectively while maintaining excellent patient relationships. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. $140,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
