Harbor‑UCLA Medical CenterTorrance, CA Schedule:
Monday- Friday, 8:00 AM
- 4:30
PM Pay Rate:
$27- 28/hr (W‑2, hourly; overtime paid per California law) Responsibilities Clean, disinfect, assemble, and prepare dialysis machines and accessory equipment for clinical use Set up, monitor, adjust, and test hemodialysis machines to ensure optimal operational performance Perform routine inspections, functional checks, and preventive maintenance Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform minor repairs to maintain equipment reliability Inspect, test, adjust, and calibrate accessory devices and monitoring components Maintain accurate logs, maintenance records, and documentation per facility and regulatory requirements Monitor and support the facility's central RO system and standalone/portable RO units (Fresenius 2008K, 2008T) Maintain inventory of supplies, parts, disinfectants, and related materials Ensure compliance with AAMI, CMS, manufacturer, and facility standards Collaborate with nursing, biomedical engineering, and dialysis leadership to ensure equipment readiness for patient treatments Minimum Requirements One (1) year of experience assisting in the assembling, testing, operating, and servicing equipment used in hemodialysis procedures Knowledge of dialysis machine operation, disinfection protocols, and water treatment systems Ability to perform mechanical troubleshooting and minor repairs Familiarity with Fresenius 2008K/2008T machines and RO systems preferred Ability to follow strict infection‑control and safety procedures Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and equipment accountability Ability to work independently and respond quickly to equipment issues Employment Classification & California Compliance This is a W‑2, non‑exempt position employed by Global Service Resources, Inc.
