This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine clinical expertise with teaching excellence, ensuring students gain comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in hemodialysis procedures. You will develop and deliver engaging curriculum content, supervise clinical practice sessions, and evaluate student performance to foster a high standard of patient care and technical proficiency. Your expertise will directly impact the quality of dialysis care provided by future technicians, making a meaningful difference in healthcare education. Responsibilities Design, develop, and update curriculum materials related to hemodialysis procedures, patient care, and clinical protocols using learning management systems such as Blackboard or LMS platforms. Deliver engaging lectures and hands-on training sessions that incorporate anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and dialysis technology. Supervise students during clinical practice in hospital or dialysis center settings, ensuring adherence to safety standards and best practices. Evaluate student performance through assessments, documentation review, and practical demonstrations; provide constructive feedback to support their growth. Collaborate with clinical staff and academic colleagues to integrate research findings, clinical trials insights, and public health principles into coursework. Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and competency assessments in compliance with educational standards. Participate in curriculum development initiatives that incorporate adult education techniques, laboratory experiences, and working with diverse learner populations including pediatrics or veterinary terminology where applicable. Qualifications Proven experience in hemodialysis technology with a strong background in patient care, acute care settings, or hospital experience. Supervising experience in clinical or educational environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and critical care practices. Familiarity with learning technologies such as LMS platforms (Blackboard), laboratory equipment, and documentation review tools. Prior university or higher education teaching experience focusing on adult education or dialysis is preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds. Experience in curriculum development and integrating research or clinical trials into teaching modules. Certification or licensure as a hemodialysis technician or related healthcare professional is advantageous. Ability to adapt teaching methods for classroom experience and hands-on laboratory training while maintaining a focus on patient safety and quality standards.

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
