Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Dietary Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality food service in a nursing home, hospital, or assisted living environment. This position requires a commitment to food safety and excellent customer service skills to ensure that residents receive nutritious meals tailored to their dietary needs. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines. Ensure that all food handling practices comply with food safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas. Help with the setup and breakdown of dining services, including setting tables and clearing dishes. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, nursing staff, and residents regarding dietary needs and preferences. Support residents during meal times, providing assistance as needed to ensure a pleasant dining experience. Participate in training sessions related to food production, safety, and customer service. Qualifications Previous experience in a nursing home, hospital, or assisted living facility is preferred. Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential. Culinary skills or experience in food production are a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with residents and staff. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Must be able to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
