Job Description
Job Overview Join our compassionate team as a Dietary Aide, where your enthusiasm and dedication will directly enhance the well-being of residents in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospital settings. In this vital role, you will assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are upheld, and providing friendly customer service to residents and staff alike. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will help create a warm, welcoming environment that promotes health and happiness for those we serve. Duties Assist with food production and meal preparation in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards Serve meals to residents or patients with kindness, professionalism, and attention to individual needs Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, dining rooms, and food handling equipment through proper sanitation and cleaning procedures Support the dietary department by bussing tables, cleaning utensils, and organizing food supplies Follow proper food handling protocols to ensure safety and prevent contamination Help with food inventory management and storage to ensure freshness and availability of ingredients Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service and accommodate special dietary requests or restrictions Experience Previous experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred Familiarity with food preparation, serving, and sanitation practices within a healthcare or culinary environment is advantageous Strong time management skills to efficiently handle meal schedules and multitask during busy periods Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling techniques to maintain hygiene standards Customer service experience demonstrating friendly communication with residents or patients Dietary aide experience or background in dietetics is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Ability to work effectively as part of a team in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail Join us in making a meaningful difference through nutritious meals and compassionate service!
