Dietary Aide Northbrook Health and Rehab - 2.9 Northbrook, IL Job Details Part-time $16 - $18 an hour 2 days ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Opportunities for advancement Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Dietary Aide - part-time to join our team at Northbrook Health and Rehab. As a Dietary Aide, you will play an essential role in supporting our food service operations by assisting in meal preparation and delivery while ensuring high standards of hygiene and food safety are maintained.
Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing and serving meals to residents in accordance with dietary restrictions and preferences. Ensure that food is served in an attractive and appetizing manner. Help with cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen and dining areas. Maintain inventory of food supplies and report shortages to the supervisor. Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of food. Provide support to the kitchen staff with food preparation tasks as directed. Ensure that meals are served promptly and in proper portion sizes. Communicate with other team members to ensure dietary needs are met.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in food service or dietary settings is a plus, but not required. Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices is an asset. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team. Compassionate, reliable, and dedicated to providing excellent service. Strong communication and organizational skills. Afternoon availability as shifts are 2p-7p - weekends a MUST.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to handle hot and cold food equipment safely.
