Job Description

Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, or "CRMC", is a 25-bed, non-profit, critical access hospital serving Southeast Kansas and Northeast Oklahoma since 1949. As a rural hospital, CRMC is surprising because of its large size and wide variety of services. Although we can provide many of the same services you will find in a big city, we take great pride in our friendly and caring staff. The Dietary Services Supervisor directs the operations of the hospital kitchen, cafeteria, and patient nutrition services. This associate provides high-quality service to patients, guests, and staff, overseeing the preparation and service of healthy food in a clean, well-maintained kitchen and serving area, in compliance with food health and safety regulations, company policy, and accreditation standards.
JOB DUTIES
Manage the daily work activities of CRMC kitchen, cafeteria, and nutrition services Ensure proper stock and direct ordering of food, ingredients, and supplies Assure proper food handling, storage, and disinfecting measures are always maintained for regulatory, legal, and company compliance Coordinate team activities and the staff-to-workload ratios to accomplish the most effective use of resources Collaborates with the Dietitian to ensure appropriate menus are offered and followed for patients, to ensure special diets are prepared for patients with dietary restrictions Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA Privacy and company policy The Dietary Services Supervisor assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Analytical ability to apply criteria and evaluate information to make decisions Strong verbal and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills in teaming with patients, medical staff, and the public Detail-oriented with proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment Professional appearance and ease in developing rapport with others Computer skills, including MS Office, Outlook, and Meditech, preferred
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
H.S. Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent work experience in field, required Certified or able to obtain Safe Food Handler training, required 3+ years of hospital dietary experience, preferred 1-4 years of supervisory experience, preferred Certified as a Dietary Manager, or the ability to acquire certification, required Ability to move, position self, consistently operate various types of equipment, able to detect/observe/identify details at close or distant range with or without accommodations, as well as exerting 20 to 50 pounds occasionally, or 10 to 25 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly
