Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Culinary Services Technician (Dietary) to join our team. As a Culinary Services Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals while adhering to dietary guidelines and safety standards. Responsibilities Prepare and serve meals in accordance with established dietary guidelines and resident preferences. Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences of residents. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and dining areas, following sanitation protocols. Assist in food production, including cooking, meal preparation, and food handling practices. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and best practices throughout all culinary operations. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with residents during meal service and addressing any concerns. Support the kitchen team by performing tasks such as bussing tables, cleaning dishes, and maintaining inventory levels. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of dietetics. Requirements Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting. Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices is essential for maintaining a safe kitchen environment. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with residents, staff, and other stakeholders. A background in dietetics or related fields is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while demonstrating initiative and independence when necessary.
