Job Description:
Position Summary The Dietary Aide assists in the preparation, service, and delivery of meals to residents while ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment. This role supports the dietary team in meeting residents' nutritional needs and providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Assist with meal preparation, tray assembly, and food portioning Deliver meals and snacks to residents in a timely manner Ensure meals match resident diet orders and restrictions Set up and clean dining areas before and after meals Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment Follow proper sanitation, safety, and infection control procedures Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, work areas, and storage spaces Stock supplies and assist with inventory as needed Interact respectfully and courteously with residents and staff Report concerns or issues to the Dietary Manager Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous food service experience preferred but not required Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Good communication and customer service skills Strong attention to detail Certifications (Preferred/Required) Food Handler's Permit (as required by state) Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Lift up to 25-40 pounds Frequent bending, lifting, and reaching Work Environment Fast-paced kitchen and dining setting Exposure to heat, cold, and cleaning chemicals Regular interaction with residents
