Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented CDM (Certified Dietary Manager) to join our team. The CDM will be responsible for overseeing the dietary operations within our facility, ensuring that meals are prepared and served in accordance with dietary guidelines and regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for providing nutritious meals to our residents.Duties:
- Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs of residents while adhering to dietary guidelines and regulations
- Order food and supplies, ensuring proper inventory levels are maintained
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed
- Monitor food preparation and service to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Conduct regular inspections of the kitchen and dining areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with health codes
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to address specific dietary needs or restrictions of residents
- Maintain accurate records of food purchases, inventory, and meal production
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in nutrition to continuously improve our dietary services
Requirements:
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification is required
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting
- Strong knowledge of nutrition principles, dietary guidelines, and food safety regulations
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a team
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
