Job Description

Job Overview St Joseph's Rehabilitation and Care Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional food service in a skilled nursing environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that residents receive nutritious meals that meet their dietary needs while maintaining a clean and safe dining environment. This position requires strong time management skills and a commitment to customer service, as you will be interacting with residents and staff daily. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences. Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes, bussing tables, and cleaning equipment. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations during food production and handling. Support the dietary team in planning menus that accommodate residents' dietary restrictions and preferences. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with residents during meal times and addressing any concerns or requests promptly. Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and stocking supplies as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in food production or food preparation is preferred, especially in an assisted living or healthcare setting. Knowledge of dietetics and food safety practices is a plus. Strong time management skills to ensure timely meal service. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
